Welcome to the Blind Brook–Rye School District Interscholastic Athletic Department. Blind Brook is a member of Section One of the New York State Public High School Athletic Association. Our athletic program participates in Conference Four of Section One, which encompasses schools in Westchester, Rockland, Putnam, and Dutchess counties.
Blind Brook has a wide variety of sports for students in grades 7-12. Our middle school students participate in the modified athletic program. High school students in grades 9-12 participate at the Junior Varsity (JV) level first, and eventually move on to the Varsity level. We offer sports throughout three sports seasons. The fall season begins in late August for JV and varsity athletes, early September for modified athletes, and concludes in early November. The winter season begins mid-November and concludes in late February. The spring season begins in early March and concludes in late May.
Blind Brook offers participation in twenty-two different sports and currently has fifty teams with the recent addition of modified boys and girls lacrosse. Most outdoor practices and games are held on our newly renovated turf fields and all weather track located on the high school campus.
While the Athletic Department takes great pride in winning it does not condone “winning at any cost.” It discourages any and all pressures which might tend to neglect good sportsmanship and good mental health. At all times, our athletic program will be conducted in such a way as to justify it as a positive educational experience.
Welcome to our web site. Please enjoy its resources and feel free to let us know what additional information would be helpful to you as you navigate the world of Interscholastic Athletics.
